How to Vote:

1) Vote By Mail: If you elect to receive you ballot by mail you can fill it out and deliver it by a) Placing It in the Mail b) Placing it in any Drop Off Box - one is located in Dover in front of Town Hall on the Canal Street Side or c) Delivering it to the County in Morristown.  

2) Vote on Primary Election Day: This year voting machines will be utilized again for all Primary Election Day Voting.  Polls will be open from 6:00a.m. to 8:00p.m.  Below is a list of voting locations in Dover. 

Ward 1: Dover High School Auditorium, 100 Grace St. Dover, NJ 07801

Ward 2: Sacred Heart Parish Center Gym, 37 N. Essex St. Dover, NJ 07801

Ward 3: Sacred Heart Parish Center Gym, 37 N. Essex St. Dover, NJ 07801

Ward 4: Board of Education Administration Building, 21 Belmont Ave. Dover, NJ 07801 (NEW LOCATION)  


OPRA: The Town of Dover accepts OPRA requests via U.S. Mail, In Person and Electronically.  To file an OPRA request electronically, requests can be submitted through the Town’s Website found below.  Requests may also be filed by Fax.  If you should have any problems, difficulties or have a disability that requires an accommodation to submit your request electronically, please feel free to contact the Municipal Clerks by phone at 973-366-2200 x 1113 / 973-366-2200 x 1110 or you may send an email to the Deputy Municipal Clerk if you require assistance.
