We celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2024! The Town of Dover Shade Tree Commission was established in 1974 for the purpose of overseeing the regulation, planting and maintainance of trees and shrubbery in our parks and public spaces. In 1979, Dover was desigated a "Tree City USA" by the National Arbor Day Foundaton joining 200 other communities across the country. Today, the program includes more than 3,600 communities.
