2020 GENERAL ELECTION - November 3, 2020 - The 2020 General Election is being conducted primarily by mail per Executive Order signed by Governor Murphy.  Voters should return the Vote-By Mail Ballots which were mailed out by the County of Morris to all registered voters.  Ballots were brought to the West Caldwell USPS distribution facility on October 2, 2020 by the County of Morris.

Voting machines will not be used for the general election, unless a person requires ADA accommodations.  If you have a disability and need an accessible ballot, you may vote at a polling place on election day, where you will be given a headset and accessible device to allow you to case your vote.  The sole voting location in the Town of Dover will be the Sacred Heart Parish Center, 37 North Essex Street, Gym (Auditorium).  

All other voters are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO VOTE BY MAIL.  Ballots can be mailed via the USPS or:

1) Dropped off at Drop Boxes throughout Morris County.  The Drop Box locations can be found online:  A drop box is also located in front of the Dover Municipal Building toward the canal side of the building.  All drop boxes are located outside and are under surveillance 24/7.


2) You can drop off your ballot on election day at the polling location at Sacred Heart Parish Center, 37 North Essex Street on election day. YOU CANNOT BRING ANOTHER VOTERS BALLOT.
