Code Enforcement Department Home Page

The Code Enforcement Department is responsible for enforcing a number of the Town's Codes including the Property Maintenance Code, Zoning Code and Garbage & Recycling Regulations. It also is responsible for performing State inspections for Multiple Dwellings. The Certificate of Compliance regulations are also managed and enforced by the Code Enforcement Department.

Should you be made aware of any violations of the Property Maintenance Code, including overcrowding, illegal occupancies, or any other issues relating to the maintenance of a property in Town, please contact us at 973-366-2200 ext. 114, and we will investigate.
