The Town of Dover is a ‘town form’ of government by pre-1874 special charter, and has an autonomous Board of Health that provides oversight of the Dover Health Department.
The Board of Health makes health policy for Dover that encompasses a broad range of activities. Health policy is formulated in conformance with State laws, regulations and local governmental structure.
