🌳 Dover Shade Tree Commission 🌳

Trees are essential to the health and vitality of our community–helping to cool our streets, improve air quality, support public health, and enhance property values throughout Dover.

Established in 1974, the Dover Shade Tree Commission oversees regulation, planting, and maintenance of trees and shrubbery in the town's parks and public spaces. In 1979, Dover was designated a Tree City USA community by the National Arbor Day Foundation. In 2024, the Commission proudly celebrated its 50th anniversary of service to the Town of Dover.

The Dover Shade Tree Commission is made up of dedicated community volunteers appointed to help guide the care and stewardship of Dover's urban forest.
