The Town of Dover Recreation Commission will hold a Summer Recreation Program from June 24, 2013 through August 9, 2013, from 8:30am to 4:30pm at Water Works Park on Princeton Ave, Dover. The cost of the program is $300.00 with a $50.00 discount per child, for any registrations paid by May 31, 2013. Register at the Recreation Office (211 N. Sussex Street) between 2:00pm and 4:00pm weekdays. The seven week program is for children age 6 through 15 years old. Unfortunately on rainy days, the program will be closed. There is no rain location. Some protection from weather is provided by pavilion, however parents will need to keep an eye on the weather should a severe storm occur.
Full payment for the seven weeks by checks and cash only. Checks made payable to Dover Recreation. For security purposes, all parents must provide 2 forms of photo identification (ex: driver license, passport, employer identification) upon registration and copy of child's birth certificate. Registration forms available under form center on website. These forms include Town of Dover Summer Playground Policy, 2013 Registration Form and Waiver/Release form. The mission of Dover Recreation’s Summer Supervised Playground Program is to provide a safe place for the social, mental and physical growth of the children of Dover, Mine Hill and Victory Gardens, through a variety of activities and trips. Our program is structured and provides arts and crafts, variety of games, sports including soccer, obstacle courses, dance contests, and many other fun things to do to keep children interested and active. All age groups will be located at Water Works Park, located at 100 Princeton Avenue, (go over bridge by Water Service Dept.).
