2011 Small Cities Grant Project
Curb, drainage, milling, paving and some sidewalk improvements are being made on Segur St., Sanford St., Losey St., Hinchman Ave. & Hoagland Ave., thanks to a $500,000 Small Cities Grant the Town received from The New Jersey Department of Community affairs. The work began in late September and is expected to be completed in November.
2011 NJDOT Municipal Aid Grant Project
Curb, drainage, milling, paving and some sidewalk improvements are being made on Orchard Street with $125,000 in funds from the New Jersey Department of Transportation Municipal Aid Program. The contract was recently awarded and work is scheduled to begin on late October with completion in November.
2011 Bond Project – Phase 1 Milling and Paving
Part of Richboynton Rd., Goodale Ave., N. Sussex St., Baker St., McDavit Pl., Locust St., Mercer St., Summer Ave., Ev-Ken Ter will be milled and paved this fall with a significant portion of the funding from New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG)due to roadway disturbance from their recent gas line installation. The Town of Dover partnered with NJNG to accomplish full width paving of the streets they had disturbed. The contract was awarded in late September for $220,600. Work is expected to be completed by early November.
Municipal Parking Lots Improvements
The Town’s Municipal Parking Lots will get a face lift this fall. Work includes paving, striping, fencing, Pay Station Enclosures in Lots A & B, and a Dumpster Enclosure in Lot A. Work is underway and lot closures are being carefully coordinated so as to provide alternate parking in nearby lots while work is being done. Watch for signage about temporary lot closures and alternate locations to park. The $458,000 improvements should be completed in November.
